Old system breaks in winter
I went to bed last weekend to awake to a pretty extreme problem, but the day before the incident I went about my supplier as common with nothing out of the ordinary happening, however with it being the middle of winter, I had my boiler running at home to keep my house nice plus heated for me, plus since I had pets in the house I kept it on even when I was away! It’s nice to return home to a hot house after running errands in the cold, plus I didn’t want to keep my pets in a chilly house all day, and however, this may have been a mistake, because the next afternoon when I woke up my arms were covered in goosebumps plus it was freezing inside, and sometime in the middle of the night my boiler must have kicked off.
- I tried changing my thermostat to kick it into gear again despite the fact that I got no response from my HVAC system, and as the sun rose it warmed up a little in the house however it was still much too chilly for my liking, plus I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it the rest of winter time separate from my boiler.
I called my HVAC provider plus scheduled an appointment to have an HVAC professional come repair my system. Thanks to their same-day service policy someone was able to come out instantly to inspect my HVAC system plus boiler. I had an older system, it turned out, which wasn’t able to handle the constant workload I put on it. The system was fixed for now however the HVAC professional suggested that I look into upgrading to a newer model before next winter, and for now, I’ll have to be more careful with my HVAC system.
