Abusing Heating, Ventilation & A/C after lacking childhood

I’ve been listening to a lot of motivational podcast recently! For the past year or so, I have been deeply immersed with self-improvement and changing my mindset for a better life.

I know it sounds hokey, but I assume that it actually helps to listen to inspirational words throughout the day.

A lot of the times, these podcast discuss a mindset of “lacking.” This is their term for growing up in a condo without several luxuries. Apparently, that causes long-term changes in your brain that often lead to downside mindset changes. I’ve realized, I legitimately have a mindset of lacking when it comes to indoor air temperature control. When I stop and assume about it, my childhood was plagued with a complete and utter lack of indoor air temperature comfort. When I was growing up, my friend and I lived on a shoestring budget. My mom never wanted to spend money more for our biweekly bills and he needed to. As such, he was obsessed with keeping of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system turn down as low as he possibly could. In the middle of winter, my friend and I had to wear coats to stay moderate in the property without using the heater. In the summer, my friend and I laid directly beneath fans because the a/c wasn’t running. As an adult, I am obsessed with using my indoor air temperature control appliances. I don’t go five minutes without changing my temperature control. If I am even slightly moderate or cold, I am going to utilize my heating and cooling system as much as I want. Since I grew up with so little indoor comfort, I assume I’ve become a bit obsessed with it as an adult.
