Using a fireplace really helps with winter heating costs

It would be hard for me to move from my home state.

While I’ve traveled around the country throughout my life, I can’t give up the beautiful pine forests of the northern midwest.

I also really love the natural lakes that are in almost every town and City from one end of the state to the next. I had to move from this area for a few years when I was in college. I lived down south and I hated the weather with all of the heat and humidity. It rained almost every single afternoon in the late summer season as well. When I finally got back to the north, I was so happy to be in my home again. However, I’ll admit my first winter back was kind of rough. I got used to the warmer Winters down south, and it was hard to readjust to the cold Winters coming back to the north. While I still live here to this day, I’ll admit that I’ve noticed how cold it is a lot more than I used to. I have to use a fireplace just to help with my heating costs during the winter. Using a furnace by itself costs too much money in this house so I have to use a fireplace as well. Luckily I live on a property with lots of trees that I can use for firewood. I chop as much wood as I can in September and October every year so I’m prepared for the whole winter season. I want to have wood that’ll last me well into the spring.
