A hot summer day with no HVAC equipment
We were chanting a nursery rhyme to find out who would start fanning the other since it was so hot the HVAC equipment was not working.
We called for home service, but it turned out that every HVAC technician had an a/c that needed their attention, and the earliest they would fix ours was the following morning.
By late afternoon that day, we were tired of fanning each other and ourselves, and we had run out of options. We filled the bathtub with water and soaked in it, but after a while, the water also became warm, and we had to seek another alternative. Our brilliant plan was to visit our friends who lived a few blocks away and stay there till nightfall or when the temperature dropped. When we arrived, the indoor air quality was enough to make us sigh. It felt so good I was ready to move into their home permanently. They had two other friends over, and to our surprise, one of them was an HVAC professional. We told him about our problem with air purification and the smart HVAC. Brad was so accommodating he accompanied us to our home because he needed to get to his house before dinner. He inspected the air purification help, told us we needed to change the air filter, and repaired the HVAC installation. Our whole-home air purification unit was in good condition, but as much as it improved the air quality, it could not keep the house cool. After checking some of the ducts, he suggested we ensure duct cleaning was done within the month. When he was done, the changes were noticeable, and in two hours, the house was cool, and the air purification system was excellent.
