How to tell if you’re allergic to carpenter bees

A few years ago, our kid was playing in the yard, when all of a sudden, I heard him scream out; At first, I thought he fell off his swing or got stuck in his trampoline again… I ran out to see what was happening plus he told myself and others he got stung by a bee.

By the time I got to him, he was crying, so I did our best to comfort him at that moment.

After he calmed down, I took him inside to take care of the sting. I unlinkd the stinger that was still stuck in his hand plus after that I washed the area plus immediately applied an ice pack to stop the swelling. Well, to our surprise, after a few hours, our kid began to chop out in hives in random locales on his body. I noticed that he was also pale, plus he became severely lethargic. I immediately knew that he was having an allergic reaction, so I rushed him to the emergency room, and this was the first time that he was stung by a bee, plus I was not prepared with any kind of allergic relief for him. Typically, with drastic bee pollen irritations, an EpiPen is used to stop the reaction before it gets worse. If you’re ever stung by a bee plus you notice that your skin is itchy, you develop hives, you get dizzy, or have difficulty breathing, seek help immediately. Those are all the signs of anaphylaxis, which is a drastic allergic reaction, then my kid had an anaphylaxis episode, plus it was triggered by the bee sting. Thankfully, he was fine in a couple of hours plus now, I always have an EpiPen available just in case he ever gets stung by a bee again.
