Steve kept hearing that there’s a shortage of Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialists, however it never impacted him until recently.
This has been something that has been circulating for over two years now, but Steve has never had an issue with getting service.
So, he believed it was only impacting larger markets. Well, he was wrong about that because he lives in a smaller town. Last month, Steve needed his Heating, Ventilation & A/C device checked, so he contacted his Heating, Ventilation & A/C provider. Usually, when he calls for service, they have a specialist out the next day and sporadically even the same day. Well, this time around, Steve was told that it would take three days before an Heating, Ventilation And A/C specialist can service his unit. After hearing that, Steve asked the representative from the Heating, Ventilation and A/C corporation about the long wait time. The rep then explained that they have a shortage of HVAC specialists, and they are trying to keep up with the demand. She explained that the specialists were working long hours because of all the service calls. And since his service was not an emergency, Steve would have the longest delay. Gladly, his device was still working, and this was just regular maintenance for him. So, Steve told the representative that he was flexible, and he was willing to give up his spot for someone who needed it more. It’s the least he could do to help the situation of the Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialist shortage. Not many people think about it, however the Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialists are partly responsible for keeping our homes comfortable all year round. And he hopes that his Heating, Ventilation and A/C provider can figure out something soon to help with the shortage of HVAC specialists.
