Thanks to my mom’s hard work, eventually our home became cool and comfortable
It was an extremely hot day in the middle of summer. Being the person that likes to do everything, my mom set out to put in central air conditioning in our house. After reading some guides and watching some videos online, she felt completely capable of handling the situation on her own. My brother and I were thrilled at the thought of coming home to a cool house in the heat of summer. Over the course of the next few days, however, we started to suspect that Mom had taken on more than she could handle. There were wires, tools, and other equipment lying around the house randomly. We all saw the toll that my mom’s long hours of work on the project were taking on her. This caused her a lot of stress. We tried to motivate her by pointing out the positive outcomes that would result from her efforts, but she was only concerned with finishing the task at hand. The duration of the process exceeded expectations, leaving the home in disarray for weeks. While waiting for Mom to finish installing central air conditioning, we just melted away in the heat. My brother and I both wondered if this project would ever be finished. She persisted and worked until the central air conditioning was installed and running smoothly. Thanks to my mom’s hard work, eventually our home became cool and comfortable. The 3 of us had a big dinner to celebrate, and my brother and I gave our mom a round of applause and hugs for all her efforts.
