Sunroom requires new mini split system

About a year ago I was on the market looking for a new home for the first time.

  • I had always rented apartments and houses, and finally had saved up enough money to purchase a home with my own.

I was so excited by the idea and I wanted to secure the perfect property. I looked for many months, seeking out a space that had everything I needed and was within my budget. One of the things that I desperately needed was a peaceful outdoor space to relax in. When I stopped at a woodsy little cabin and found that it had an awesome sunroom attached to the back, I knew I had found my place. I urgently bought the house and was so excited about the sunroom. The best part of the sunroom, I thought, was the presence of air vents on the central wall. To me, the signal that the sunroom was connected to the central heating and cooling system, so I wouldn’t needed to worry about extra Air Temperature Control in this satellite space. I was really excited at the prospect of having working Heating and Cooling at my fingertips in the sunroom. What I hadn’t considered, was how much extra energy it would take to adequately heat or cool the poorly insulated room. It became clearly apparent that I shouldn’t rely on my central furnace or air conditioner for this task unless I wanted to pay an arm and a leg. Today, I’m talking to my HVAC technician about a mini split ductless heating and cooling system. I think that this single piece of air quality Equipment is what I need to establish the sunroom of my dreams.
