It’s like we go straight from heat to cooling in this region
If you love a great spring time and an extended period of rebirth, this is not the region for you. If you love a lengthy fall with great weather and plenty of sunshine, this is not the region for you. If you like a long winter that seems to go straight into a long, hot summer, then this is your spot. I swear, around here the gas furnace barely stops running before it’s time to flip on the air conditioning. Our winter can essentially last until April. But the weather can be so screwy that it could snow one week and be in the seventies the next. That means you kind of have to be on top of the HVAC maintenance because we go from heating to cooling pretty quick. I actually belong to an HVAC service plan so I don’t have to worry about finding the perfect window to get an air conditioning tune up in the spring. The HVAC company takes care of all of that and just lets me know when they’re coming and I confirm online. I have to say, they really time it out nearly perfectly. As soon as we get the air conditioning tuned up, it’s not long after before we actually need to flip on the air conditioning. And the same thing goes for the heating maintenance in the fall. Fall is quick so you might miss it if you blink. Again though, the HVAC company times it out perfectly to make sure that we get heating maintenance before there’s any demand on our gas furnace. It’s a tough region when it comes to the climate but it’s also where I call home.
