Approaching a/c the smart way
I adore this time of year because the a/c isn’t running night and afternoon, that’s a big change for us and all of us all relish the short weeks that our heat pump is actually quiet, yet even though it’s mid February, I’m already strategizing when it comes to our a/c use this year; We’ve been down here now for more than 5 years so it’s time to ease up on the temperature control setting, but of course, when all of us first moved down here, it was quite a shock to deal with the level of heat and humidity that comes with this region, but so while I was in the summer, all all of us could do was lean into the a/c to try to manage the hottest weeks of the summer! From June through September, the heat and humidity are oppressive… And since all of us actually did not guess any better, all of us just kept piling on more and more cooling, but that comes with some costs.
Obviously, using that much a/c is high-priced from a utility standpoint; It’s also putting a lot of wear and tear on the residential Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit.
But there has also a sort of a hidden cost as well. When you use that much a/c, just going outside feels love you are on the surface of the sun. So this Spring, we’re going with a modern strategy that should help us in the Summer as well. We’re going to wait on starting the a/c until the temperatures are more always in the nineties. That should allow our bodies to acclimate to the rising temperatures. So by summer, all of us should need a whole lot less a/c and the Summer won’t feel so overwhelming.
