How can you tell he’s a real HVAC technician?

I asked my daughter to stay home for a couple of hours until I could get home from work.

I knew she wanted to go with her friends, but I was expecting the HVAC technician at the house, and I didn’t want him to show up to an empty house. I knew the HVAC technician was usually late, but this would be one time when he was right on time, and I didn’t want him to leave. It took almost a week to get an appointment, and I didn’t want to wait another week or more. Of all the questions she could have asked, she wanted to know how she could tell he’s a real HVAC technician. I told her he would be driving a service van and he would have an HVAC technician’s uniform on. Before she unlocked the screen door, he would also show her his HVAC ID badge. If at any time she felt uncomfortable, she should tell him to wait in his service van until I got home. She was only fifteen, and I could understand her hesitancy. I wanted to make sure she was safe, and she was showing her maturity by asking the question. When I got home, the HVAC service van was in thee driveway and the HvAC technician was in the van. I knocked on the window, and he rolled it down. He told me she wouldn’t answer the door, but since someone was home, he figured he would wait until I got home. My daughter was peeking out the window every so often, and she finally unlocked the door when she saw me get out of the car.
