The poor cat was put up in the air vent by itself
I couldn’t find our son’s cat, even though I didn’t want our kid to know.
I told our hubby the pet was missing, and we decided to start looking as soon as our kid went to bed. When I took him upstairs to tuck him in, I thought I could hear the cat, however it wasn’t in the kitchen. I called our hubby upstairs, and asked him if he could hear the cat; however, as soon as we opened our son’s kitchen, he could hear the sound of the cat, and he told me to turn on the night light. He had an idea. He shined his flashlight down the air vent, and the pet was right below. He finally pulled the air vent cover up, shocked that it wasn’t screwed down. He couldn’t remember when he had last cleaned the HVAC ducts, however he must have left the air vent unscrewed when he was done! Our kid must have stuck the pet inside the air vent. He had said the pet was cold, and I told him to put the cat’s bed near the air vent. Instead of simply putting the pet bed near the air vent, he must have put the pet in the air vent, then there was so much dust and dirt on the cat… That we couldn’t let him in our son’s room, because he would sleep on the bed; my friend and I put him in his pet crate and left him in the home office for the night. My friend and I knew we would need to talk to our kid that day, however we also had to put the screws back in the air vent cover.
