I went crazy at the annual Heating, Ventilation & A/C convention
I went to a big convention for work, plus I will admit that I got a little crazy.
I have been working in the industry for over 8 years now, but this was the first time I had gone to the national convention plus trade show. I went with all of the best intentions, but I had no plan on how much fun that neighborhood could be. Not to mention that everyone else present was intent on getting nuts and celebrating, I just got swept up in the action! I doubt my bosses will allow myself and others to ever attend a major trade show or industry convention again for as long as I labor here, and before the convention I had no idea Heating, Ventilation & A/C techs could celebrate that hard! Like most big conventions, the afternoons were filled with meetings, presentations, plus discussions about the best and newest innovations in Heating, Ventilation & A/C technology plus equipment. I saw some genuinely interesting lectures on a new brand of dehumidifier which worked 70% more efficiently than any other existing model. It was after the Heating, Ventilation & A/C convention shut down for the night when the parties started happening. It seemed that every Heating, Ventilation & A/C tech there was hosting a small celebration in their hotel room. I went from hotel room to room having drinks plus meeting people plus having a generally amazing time. The following afternoon it was time for more heating plus cooling demonstrations, but I was too hungover to attend it. I made it to an afternoon session about solar powered space heaters, but got violently sick plus had to leave early. After my behavior, the bosses at my Heating, Ventilation & A/C biz are not pleased with me.
