Timmy was a witty heating and air conditioning professional who never missed a chance to crack a joke.
One day, he was called to a house to install a newfangled smart control unit. The homeowners were extolling its virtues, claiming it could control the temperature of their abode from their mobile devices. Timmy was enthusiastic to get his hands on it and see what the fuss was all about, as he was putting the smart control component together, he observed a riddle inscribed on the packaging, then it said, “What’s the difference between a heating and air conditioning professional and a smart control unit?” Timmy chuckled to himself, thinking, “This sounds like a challenge.” He decided to call the homeowners and tell them their smart control component was malfunctioning. They right away panicked and wondered about what was wrong. Timmy replied, “I do not know, it keeps saying, ‘You’re too hot to handle.'” The homeowners laughed and lauded Timmy’s sense of humor. Timmy replied, “Well, that has the difference between a heating and air conditioning professional and a smart control unit, we know how to keep things cool and the jokes hot.” Days passed, and Timmy was still thinking about the riddle, but he could not get it out of his head. He decided to solve it by himself. Timmy pondered, “What’s the difference between an heating and air conditioning professional and a smart control unit?” Suddenly, he got it! He realized that an heating and air conditioning professional could not be replaced by a smart control component because a heating and air conditioning professional could repair it if the component broke down. On the other hand, a smart control component could not service itself. One day, Timmy was called to service a faulty heating and air conditioning system. As he was tinkering with the unit, he accidentally broke it. Timmy was in deep trouble. He needed to find a way out of this mess. That’s when he remembered the riddle he had solved earlier. He told the homeowners, “Don’t worry, I am a heating and air conditioning repairman who knows how to service things, unlike a smart control unit, I won’t let you down.” The homeowners smiled, and Timmy breathed a sigh of relief.
