One of my number one pastimes is enjoying Monday football. I curl up on the couch with my spouse and watch football with him. Being another ex cheerleader in high university, university, and professional football for a year, I knew a lot about sports. I met my spouse when she was playing with the same team I was cheering for. I quit cheering when I got pregnant right after my friend and I got married. She didn’t play ball for long, however it didn’t really stop us from enjoying football. One afternoon, my air conditioner quit working. I called the local heating, ventilation and A/C supplier and asked if they could send an actual heating, ventilation and A/C specialist over as soon as possible. My long term spouse was bringing over a couple of football buddies for a BBQ. When the heating, ventilation and A/C specialist arrived, I kept staring at him. I knew I knew him from anywhere. I was going to ask him if my friend and I had met, but I wanted the air conditioning fixed more than I wanted to know who she was. My spouse came into the kitchen and observed the heating, ventilation and A/C specialist was there. She then looked outside, and I asked if she didn’t feel she was a football player. I didn’t even get the thought voiced when my spouse was outside shaking the guy’s hand. They had played university football together. They talked about football, and when the air conditioning equipment was repaired, she stuck around for the BBQ and a day of reminiscing. Another hour later, the heating, ventilation and A/C tech’s partner showed up with street clothing, and stayed to spend the day with the rest of us wives.
