Annual heater tune-up
I live in a unquestionably chilly part of the country! Every year we get exhausting snow storms.
My family and I constantly try to plan vacations if we have enough notice before a storm hits; During these storms we normally have at least 10 inches of snow and it can be stressful trying to make sure everything around the house is prepared, that is why we cherish to leave when we can! However, this year we didn’t have any notice before the snowstorm was coming, and the weather channel only provided us one afternoon to get ready and gather everything we need.
Everyone around neighborhood was going crazy and it was impossible to find any stores left with the things we needed, like food and water. If I had know in advance, I would have also called our local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation to come out and service our heater. We have been lucky to not have our heater go out on us while in a storm, but numerous of our friends have not been as lucky. I know numerous people that have had their heater stop working while in a storm and they are left to freeze in their home. They run out of wood suddenly for their fireplace and just have to kneel in their chilly house until the roads are clear and the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation can come out and repair their heater! I truly hope that doesn’t happen to us this year because we weren’t prepared enough for the storm and weren’t able to have our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation service our heater.
