Going to an old college
When I was applying to college last year I felt like I really didn’t have a choice but to go to the same school my parents went to. It is a really nice old school that has been around for over a hundred years. However, I really didn’t feel like I wanted to go to this school at all when I was applying. I wanted to go to a school that offered the kind of classes I wanted to go to and even maybe a smaller school that offered more specialized courses, but that really wasn’t an option for me. My parents already talked with the dean of the school and I was accepted early. I went down to look at the dorms during the springtime and realized that they didn’t have central air conditioning. I was shocked when I realized the school was built without a working HVAC system installed. I really wish I would have known this before I applied and got accepted. Not that it would have really matter anyway, but I really hate sleeping without the air conditioner going at night. I feel like I wake up and I am covered in sweat. I really wish that I could live in an apartment that had a working HVAC system, but my parents said all freshman had to live in the dorms. I really hope that I end up liking this school because as of right now I am really dreading having to come here in the fall and live without a heating and cooling system.
