Preparing your Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system for a hurricane

I live in an part of the country that has actually terrible storms for about six months out of the year, normally, during these storms all the people will lose power to their homes and don’t have a way to get food or water. In order to not panic during this crazy time you have to prepare you home for the impending weather. Normally before the start of hurricane season, all the people have a check list of all the things they need to have done completed. I know that my family always has extra batteries, water, canned food and flashlights on hand just in case, then one thing that is also actually pressing to do is have your Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system diagnosed by a local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier, then during hurricane season it is normally actually hot outside and you don’t want to be without the air conditioning. I always make sure that I have the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech that is looking at my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C machine fasten the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C machine to our generator just in case my fantastic friend and I lose power. I don’t want my family to have to suffer without the air conditioning for longer than my fantastic friend and I would have to. I make sure that my fantastic friend and I also have battery operated fans in the home just for a back up. I actually like to make sure that my family has everything in order just to prepare for the worst, however you know what is going to happen. However, if you are going to just do one thing to prepare, I request that you get your Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system diagnosed by a Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional.
