Old system breaks in winter

I went to bed last weekend to awake to a pretty serious problem, and the day before the incident I went about my business as regular with nothing out of the moderate happening, then with it being the middle of winter, I had my boiler running at home to keep my home nice and heated for me, and since I had pets in the home I kept it on even when I was away, it’s nice to return home to a warm home after running errands in the cold, and I didn’t want to keep my pets in a frigid home all day, but however, this may have been a mistake, because the next morning when I woke up my arms were covered in goosebumps and it was frigid inside… Sometime in the middle of the night my boiler must have kicked off.

  • I tried increasing my thermostat to kick it into gear again although I got no response from my HVAC system, then as the sun rose it warmed up a little in the home however it was still much too frigid for my liking, and I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it the rest of winter season without my boiler.

I called my HVAC provider and tied up an appointment to have an HVAC corporation come repair my system. Thanks to their same-day repair policy someone was able to come out right away to inspect my HVAC system and boiler. I had an older system, it turned out, which wasn’t able to handle the constant workload I put on it. The system was fixed for now however the HVAC corporation suggested that I look into upgrading to a newer model before next winter, however for now, I’ll have to be more careful with my HVAC system.
