Replacing thermostat is a worthwhile home improvement

One of the best home improvements I’ve made is replacing my thermostat.

I’ve spent a considerable amount of money on putting down new floors, replacing windows, updating appliances and replacing plumbing fixtures.

I’ve remodeled the kitchen and both bathrooms, installed a cement driveway and added a big screen television and surround sound speakers. The new thermostat was a lot less expensive and much easier to implement. However, that small change has made a huge difference in the comfort, enjoyment and efficiency of my home. I’m saving money on heating and cooling bills nearly year round. Having a smart thermostat reduces the workload of the furnace and air conditioner, helping to increase reliability and longevity. Plus, the thermostat sends alerts when it’s time to schedule maintenance or replace filters. It notifies me in the event of a drastic temperature fluctuation or power outage and also provides energy tracking and energy saving tips. I no longer need to make sure to lower or raise the temperature setting before my family leaves for work or school for the day. We don’t return home to overheated or chilly conditions. I chose a thermostat that features geofencing. It knows the location of our smartphones and reacts when we enter or exit a set perimeter around the house. It raises or lowers temperature setting at the perfect time to maximize energy efficiency and always ensure perfect comfort. I like that I can access the thermostat through an app on my phone from virtually anywhere. Whether I’m at work, away on vacation, attending one of my kid’s sporting events or tucked in bed, I can check up on temperature and make changes.
