My son is working for a commercial roofing company
My son James started working for a commercial roofing company last summer and he really loves the job.
Whenever he first started working at the roofing company, I was pretty worried about it.
I was just afraid that he would not be safe and that he would end up falling off of a roof somewhere and hurting himself terribly. I have read a lot of stories about things like that happening during roofing installations. I am one of those people who is very paranoid about stuff like that happening. I am a worst case scenario thinker and I always have been. It drives James crazy. When he first came home and told me that he was going to be working for a commercial roofing company, he said that he did not even want to tell me about the job. He knew right away that I was going to panic about it and tell him that he needed to wear all kinds of harnesses and helmets and safety equipment if he was going to be working on roofs. Of course after he told me that, I knew that I could not act like I was afraid for him. I pretended like it didn’t bother me at all, but I am still worried about it most of the time. Unfortunately for me, James really loves his job with the roofing company. I think he’s probably going to keep working there for the next few years. I guess I should be glad that he is learning a new skill and earning lots of money, but I still don’t like it.
