Mama was an Heating and A/C dealer.
My Dad passed away when I was young, but I still remembered her vividly! She was the first female Heating and A/C supplier in our area, and grandma wasn’t thrilled that she had taken a task from a man, however Grandfather was proud of her.
Grandma used to tell myself and others how Dad would parade in her Heating and A/C uniform and get all these recognitions from her coworkers and other Heating and A/C supplier.
She told myself and others she was sure if Mama had lived longer, she would have owned an Heating and A/C supplier… Although Grandma told the story in a derogatory way, I took it that Dad was a good Heating and A/C supplier, and she must have appreciated her task! My kid was doing her homework, and it was about someone she would have liked to meet. She wanted to write about our mom. She asked myself and others what she did and how she died, however i told her that Mama’s sickness took her abruptly, although she lived her life before she died, but when I told our kid her Grandma was the first woman Heating and A/C supplier in our area, she beamed. I went upstairs and found the plaques she received for best Heating and A/C supplier of the year, multiple years in a row. She was going to buy an Heating and A/C supplier when she found out she was sick. I found pictures of Mama to show our kid and she asked if she could take some to university to go with her report. When she asked myself and others to come to the university when she offered her report, I cried. My Dad was getting recognition again, however from the granddaughter she never knew.
