It’s interesting how little business is actually conducted in person these days.

The technological advancements that were behind that trend were fairly obvious.

Using automated systems instead of hiring actual employees to serve the customer was much less expensive. but I long for it. When I need assistance, there are times when I’ll spend hours inside my home office’s central air conditioning. However, the only other option is to email a nameless, voiceless customer service department. In a perfect world, a customer service representative would be available for a live online chat. However, even that is extremely uncommon and annoying. I’m therefore enjoying myself immensely because of people like my HVAC professionals rather than freaking out and being upset about this trend. When we moved here to begin new jobs and eventually a family, we met these people about 30 years ago. When we first moved in, the old heat pump was replaced by the local HVAC company that we use. And just a year ago, the same HVAC experts replaced that heat pump with the newest residential HVAC technology. The HVAC company has always picked up the phone during all of this time. These HVAC specialists have always been willing to assist us in any way they can. Every autumn, they were there to perform maintenance on the heating system. To perform the air conditioning tune-up, return once more in the spring. Prior to the last heat pump approaching its end, we never experienced a problem. Even then, the HVAC company came right away to assist us with the necessary HVAC repair. The same HVAC experts were more than happy to visit our house and assist us in selecting the amazing HVAC technology we now have. They were always happy to assist.
