The house needed a new HVAC system before we could sell it

We have longed dreamed of putting the rat race behind us and spending a few years traveling the country in an RV. We could sell the house and make a small fortune! In order to get the best possible price, we would need a few upgrades, most notably the HVAC system. A quick assessment of the local market showed that houses with new HVAC systems could sell for as much as 15 to 20 percent above market price. We could sell the place as-is and get away with a tidy profit, but the investment of a new HVAC system could make us so much more money! We found a local HVAc contractor who gave us a sensible bid, and we had to spend roughly eight thousand dollars on the new system. That investment paid off, because with the new HVAC system and a new roof in place, the house sold for 30% over the asking price, within three days. We used some of our financial windfall to buy the RV camper we always wanted, and I am pleased to tell you that it also came with a brand new HVAC system.
