My duct system needed to be updated.
I wasn’t looking forward to having it done, but I needed to have the duct system updated.
- I remember how much it had cost, and how much labor it was when the duct system was installed.
That was thirty years ago, and I knew the price would have risen. I also knew they would need to detach the ancient duct system before they could install the new one. The heating, ventilation plus A/C corporation that had installed our ancient HVAC duct, left a terrible mess in the basement and through the house, then everywhere they worked, there was dirt, dust, and messes. I felt as if our house had been invaded by twenty teenage boys. It took a week to wash up the mess, and several years to spend money for the HVAC duct. My husband assured me that times had changed and although it was going to be more costly, the heating, ventilation plus A/C techs took more caution when making messes. We had no option on purchasing the current HVAC duct, but my good friend and I now had choices on which material my good friend and I wanted to use. The heating, ventilation plus A/C professional that came to our house, said they still have the ancient metal HVAC duct. If my good friend and I were interested in getting rid of the metal in the house, and having a safer and cheaper HVAC duct, my good friend and I may want to get a flexpipe HVAC duct. He showed us the HVAC duct, and asked if my good friend and I were interested. He showed our husband how it would look. My husband said he thought flexpipe would be better. That’s when I asked about the mess. He told me our house would be just as clean, if not cleaner, than when they walked in.\
