It surprised me when I was going through our soon-to-be new home.
There was a small home in the attic that had its own entrance, however no Heating & Air Conditioning.
I was sure it was going to be severely sizzling up there in the summer, and chilly in the winter. There was no insulation in the walls or the ceiling. My child was eighteen and still lived at home, and my friend and I thought it would give her some privacy, however still give her family if she needed anything. The first thing my friend and I planned to do when my friend and I took possession of the house, was install insulation in the attic apartment, and add an Heating & Air Conditioning system. My friend and I talked to the Heating & Air Conditioning corporation about expanding the HVAC duct for the main Heating & Air Conditioning system, however he said that would take away from the heating and a/c in the main part of the house. He then recommended my friend and I try a mini split Heating & Air Conditioning system in the attic. It was a small enough section that my friend and I would only need one unit. It would heat and cool the entire upstairs, and it would only take a small Heating & Air Conditioning/light kits for the powder room; She loved knowing she had a living room, powder room, and small sitting area, plus a private entrance. She offered to help us pay for the Heating & Air Conditioning system as long as my friend and I didn’t interfere if she had corporation. The least my friend and I could do was give her privacy, however my friend and I told her there would be no overnight male guests. She rolled her eyes then smiled and said there may be no help with the Heating & Air Conditioning system. I was hoping she was kidding.
