He knew that he would have a roommate
Liam has a perfect recollection of the day he moved into his college dorm room. He’d just turned 18 and was so gleeful to begin this new chapter of his life. Liam knew that he’d have a roommate. They had never met or spoken prior to living together. This was back in September in the northeastern region of the United States. It was a hot and humid day. Taking all his clothes, furniture, and items that he needed into his dorm was hard work. Lucky for Liam, his mom was there to lend a helping hand. When Liam entered the dorm, his roommate was already there. He was super sweaty, and Liam imagined that was from moving boxes. He hastily realized that the central air in their dorm room wasn’t functional. Liam asked his roommates if they told the resident assistant about the air conditioner issue. They said that they told them, however, because it was a weekend, the college Heating and A/C professional would not manage to come until a day later. Liam was aggravated that the central air was not now working. He did not want his first night of his new life to be spent perspiring excessively. Liam also is not himself when I am hot, so a small non air conditioned room with a stranger was a recipe for disaster. He ended up running into his friend that Liam met at orientation a week prior. He told her about the central air not working in his dorm room and she told him that he could sleep in her room because her air conditioner was excellent. Liam slept in his friend’s air conditioned dorm room until the Heating and A/C professional came to service the central air in his dorm room.
