Heating plus A/C warranties need eyes on them
When I was a kid, I was the first one awake on Christmas day, that is if I unquestionably even slept. Perhaps there was some dozing although I don’t feel I’ve ever anticipated anything the way I did Christmas day, before dawn, I’d sneak downstairs and do something that I wasn’t supposed to do, then i’d push the temperature control up a bit so the gas boiler would kick on and hot the property up. Dad was a stickler about making sure that he turned down the temperature control much lower while we slept in our hot beds. But like clockwork, the gas boiler running would constantly get my dad up on Christmas day, however well, I would tear into my presents like there was no tomorrow… Of course, I never read a single direction or saved a single warranty, and unfortunately, that habit stayed with me into my adult life. But now that I have voided the warranty on the Heating plus A/C component that is only 7 years old, I’ll be reading every word of every warranty going forward; Yea, I made an egregious error with my heat pump that ended up costing me the rest of the warranty from the Heating plus A/C factory. Because I didn’t read the warranty, I didn’t know that me trying to work on it would void our protection. But it was clearly stated and there just wasn’t any disputing it! So not only did I have to write a check to Heating plus A/C professional who corrected the original problem and the detriment I did, it cost me years of warranty as well. That is a difficult and terribly high-priced lesson to learn, however now, I’m going to have to be sure that I never miss an Heating plus A/C maintenance appointment again.
