The a/c in our vehicle died halfway into our road trip
My neighbor and I were planning a road trip across the country for the past six years straight, however it wasn’t until recently that either of us had the capacity to go on a trip like this.

After a year straight of saving money, my pal and I were finally at a position where my pal and I could afford the adventure. I thought that I had the mechanic check every conceivable part of the car, although I learned later that she focused her attention on the engine, steering system, fuel pumps, brakes, transmission, and tires. The rest of the vehicle did not get nearly as much attention or focus as those areas, although I can’t blame him in hindsight. My enjoyable friend and I had an amazing journey for the first half of the road trip before the a/c in the vehicle suddenly and inexplicably died on us while my pal and I were cruising down an interstate highway. A local mechanic offered us a estimate on replacing the a/c compressor, however the cost would have chewed up the rest of our funds for the trip and would have effectively ended the trip right then and there. Instead, my pal and I decided to gruel through the rest of the journey without air conditioning system in my car. This was no simple job because it was already early Summer and hot and cold temperatures were in the 90s in most areas where my pal and I traveled. While my pal and I still enjoyed our trip, it particularly became less enjoyable when my pal and I lost use of the a/c in the car. Next time I’ll know to make sure that my auto mechanic checks my air conditioning system in my vehicle when she inspects everything else to make sure I’m safe and ready for a cross-country road trip.
