One Week Till Showtime and I am Pretty Excited
I just want to find a good home base where the artists and myself can perform on a regular basis
I used to do about 13 shows a month back when I was doing standup comedy full time. I’ve left the pursuit and haven’t been on stage regularly for about three years now. So it is pretty exciting to be going on again and I like the feeling because I was getting quite jaded from always being on stage. At one point while performing in the Big Apple I did 120 comedy shows in a two month period. They were only about 7 minutes for each set, but with comedy that is quite a bit of time on stage. The local business where I will be doing a show next week is a test to see if they like the show we do. If it goes well then we will try to make it a weekly thing, but it isn’t comedy anymore, instead it is music mixed with some storytelling. I like this club because they have a nice heating system in the place and the winters here can get very cold. I played a lot of volleyball this past summer but now that winter is coming I am going to shift gears and play more music. You have to roll with the changes or it doesn’t go smoothly. Today I am installing an indoor air cleaning system in a club and I am going to talk to the owners about possibly doing a show there too. I just want to find a good home base where the artists and myself can perform on a regular basis. I just need to have a place with a good climate control system.
