One Week Till Showtime and I am Pretty Excited
I used to do about 13 shows a month back when I was doing standup comedy full time.
I’ve left the pursuit and haven’t been on stage properly for about three years now.
So it is pretty exciting to be going on again and I like the feeling because I was getting quite jaded from consistently being on stage. At one point while performing in the Big pear I did 120 comedy shows in a two month period. They were only about 7 minutes for each set, but with comedy that is quite a bit of time on stage. The local corporation where I will be doing a show next week is a test to see if they like the show my pal and I do. If it goes well then my pal and I will try to make it a monthly thing, but it isn’t comedy anymore, instead it is music mixed with some storytelling. I like this club because they have a nice boiler in the locale and the winters here can get really cold. I played a lot of volleyball this past summer time but now that winter time is coming I am going to shift gears and play more music. You have to roll with the fluctuations or it doesn’t go smoothly. This week I am installing an indoor air cleaning system in a club and I am going to talk to the owners about possibly doing a show there too. I just want to find a superb home base where the artists and myself can perform on a common basis. I just need to have a locale with a superb temperature control system.
