Springtime is still absolutely cold

I was born down south in a sunny, moderate temperature, however moved further north three years ago for work.

  • The home I moved into is nice, I have great neighbors, and the neighborhood I live in is pretty peaceful, however I’m still not used to the cold weather here.

I’m bundled up in a sweatshirt or overcoat seven months out of year when I used to never have to wear anything heavier than a common t-shirt and jeans! My a/c is practically wasted in my condo as I never have any need for it, whereas my furnace always need to be in top shape to meet my heating needs. winter time is obviously the worst of it, when there is snow on the ground and ice on the roads, and my furnace runs almost non-stop during these months… On the bright side, the holiday season during this time gives me an excuse to travel south to visit my family, which is a great relief for the week or so I am there. Sadly I must return condo where I’m stuck huddling inside with my furnace to avoid the chilly cold of the outside world all winter time long. When Springtime approaches and the flowers begin to bloom, I tend to get hopeful that warmth is returning, however the cold persists for the majority of this season as well. The summer time is the only true moderate phase during the year, and perhaps the absolutely end of Springtime and start of Fall. I take luck of the brief moderate season to have all of the necessary tune-ups done on my furnace before the cold strikes once more. At this rate I’ll never be adjusted to the cold.
