Living in the south means that most of the Wintertide is fairly mild.
I seldom need to light the gas fireplace, & when I do, I always need to look at the guidelines again.
I have the fireplace cleaned every year, however that is only because of the sand & humidity, and hardly any of weeks ago, I had to travel north… One of my relatives passed away, & I was going to the funeral. I had my oil & coolant diagnosed, & the gas was filled, and the mechanic told me I was safe for a long trip. The only thing I didn’t have diagnosed was the Heating & A/C system. I had been using the air conditioner often, & I knew it was working well, unblessedly, I hadn’t been using the furnace. The further north I got, the chillier it was, & I finally had to turn on the heat, but when I turned it on, nothing happened. The blowers were working, but I wasn’t getting any heat. The air conditioner was stuck in the on position, however by the time I got to a maintenance station that tested Heating & A/C systems, I was cold. I could turn the Heating & A/C method off, but I was still without heat. Having the Heating & A/C method off was better than having the air conditioner blowing in my face when it was only 30 degrees outside, but my only worry was how much it was going to cost me to have the Heating & A/C method repaired. I called my brother & told him I may be a bit late, & that I had to stop to have repairs made.
