I couldn’t believe the A/C service tech showed up drunk

I consider myself a very tolerant person, yet even I have limits.

When the air conditioner service tech came over for my service call, I could clearly detect the intense smell of booze on him. It didn’t seem as if she had a Coors Light at supper, but that she had spent all night soaking in a bathtub full of gin. It made my eyes water just catching a whiff of him. I told the girl that I was canceling the appointment, then I called her boss. Normally I don’t act like such a Karen, but here was a supposedly expert Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional who was driving around town while totally drunk! I called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer, a woman named Kim who I have done supplier with for multiple years. I explained what had happened, plus that 1 of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C techs was drunk driving plus showing up to residences in such a state; Kim was sympathetic, plus apologized profusely. It turns out I was the 2nd Heating, Ventilation & A/C client who had called Kim that afternoon, all complaining about the same tech. Kim was entirely kind, plus said she would come over to my lake house the following afternoon to do all the Heating, Ventilation & A/C labor for free, as a way of saying she was sorry for the incident. I will never turn down free a/c tune-ups, but my main problem was this drunk girl driving all around town. If this girl is drunk on the task plus crashes the van or hurts somebody, it would put Kim’s small Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier out of supplier for good.
