I tried to repair my air conditioner myself
I didn’t bother to study or do research while I was supposed to, in my mind it was common sense
So I did something stupid. I did something my wife told me that I shouldn’t do and I got pretty badly injured because I didn’t listen. What a stupid thing that I did. I went and I tried to repair my own air conditioning system, I know, I know it’s a really bad idea and I shouldn’t have attempted it. When I come sticking and cooling obviously it should be left to the professionals. However I didn’t want to wait to have a heating and AC guy come out here for two reasons, one expensive to have a heating and air conditioning system repaired and the second reason that I didn’t want to have a heating and cooling guy to come out here was because the heating and air conditioning companies were all booked up and I knew it would be at least a few weeks before I will be able to get someone out here anyways. So I decided it would be best for me to just go and try to do it myself. I told my wife about my idea. She wanted me to do it but I was confident in my abilities. I had no heating and an AC training whatsoever. I didn’t bother to study or do research while I was supposed to, in my mind it was common sense. Really I was lucky that I didn’t permanently damage my HVAC system by attempting this. Although I did manage to shock myself, it was enough to tell me that I had no idea what I was doing. I think I’ll just go ahead and call the professionals and wait for them to do it.
